OTHELLO

OTHELLO-

Pour la Comédie-Française, 1950

In this play, A.M.Cassandre did not choose traditional Elizabethan costumes from Shakespeare’s area. Instead, he followed the script faithfully, and created a dynamic Venitian atmosphere on stage. Because this play was a noble tragedy, somme said his set lacked of a certain dignity.
